Re: benzos & surgeryAn anesthesiologist could give a definitive response. My understanding is that the influence of a benzo is relatively trivial in terms of the approach to anesthesia in almost all cases. Usually, the person takes their regular medication with just a sip of water on the morning of surgery. If you are going to have surgery, you will meet with an anesthesiologist who will clarify the process in your hospital.
