GAD

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Jul 04, 2001 4:04 pm

Does anyone know an effective treatment for General Anxiety Disorder? I don't want to take medication really so some positive, active therapy is the preference. I don't want to pay money to someone who will nod their head and say umm, I see, a lot. I'm thinking a 360 solution: physical fitness, breathing, relaxation, positive thinking etc. Maybe I just answered my own question. Does anyone know a good contact in London UK to help me on my way?

If you don't want medications, cognitive behavioral therapy is the "brand" of psychotherapy with the most to show for it. A healthy lifestyle with good sleep and excercise couldn't hurt. Dr. Isaac Marks of the UK has published a lot about non drug treatments for anxiety and panic.
