Luvox withdrawal?

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Apr 06, 2002 4:08 pm

Hi, I've been taking 150 mg of Luvox per day for the past 8 months for generalized anxiety and depression Recently, a problem with my insurance has delayed the refilling of my prescription for about a week. Since stopping the Luvox "cold turkey," I've been experiencing severe dizziness nausea, headaches, and sweating. Could these symptoms be a sign of withdrawal from the Luvox? How concerned should I be about stopping my medication suddenly and then eventually re-starting it?
Thanks!

These are most probably signs of sudden discontinuation from the Luvox. They should begin to fade after 1-2 wks. Then, there may be a return of whatever symptoms were ailing you in the first place or not (after 8 months, come people stop anyhow). If your symptoms return, Luvox may again help.
