New Work and stress

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Sep 10, 2003 6:54 am

I recently started a new job that I like, except for the fact that I too easily get stressed. I believe that this is hindering me from learning this occupation as quickly as my employer would hope.

A second factor in this is that, though I have been candid, to an extent, with my new employer about my learning, there is a part of me that simply cringes at standing up for myself when I feel like I am being pressured to 'hurry up and finish the work'.

I have written this forum before regarding my issues, and the more I look over my medical testing and talks with counselors, it seems that GAD can well the be overaching issue of my life.

I really don't want to simply quit this new job because I am getting stressed out, because I will not have dealt with the issue: it is me reaction to the job and not, hopefully not, the job itself.

Lastly, my doctor told me that the medication that I was taking, zoloft, because it was not effective that he would simply try me on something else while monitoring me.

In the meantime, your comments would be appreciated
