Symptoms come and goDr.,
Having been diagnosed with a "variant" of Panic Disorder (Therapist and GP agree I rarely have full-blown attacks, but have limited attacks frequently and daily anxiety), I am being treated now with Celexa. I have so much trouble determining if the medicine is helping because my anxiety can change course rather dramatically over a course of several days. For instance, last week was wonderful, hardly any anxiety at all, I thought maybe it was completely gone. This week, it is bothering me a lot for the last 2 days, with no apparent trigger. It will probably lighten up again in a few days to a week. This happens to me regularly, some days seem hopelessly uncomfortable, others I forget I even have a problem. Is this normal for Panic Disorder? It is so hard to measure progress (although I am only into my 2nd week at 20mg., but I went through the same problem at lower doses and before I started medication, which was why I postponed the decision, I always thought the good days/weeks would stick around) Thanks as always.
Re: Symptoms come and goIt is normal to have an episodic pattern. It is too soon to judge the medication.
