Paralyzed by Bipolar DisorderI have struggled with this illness which seems like forever. Right now I feel like I have a dark cloud hovering above me, around me, suffocating me. Re: Paralyzed by Bipolar DisorderParalyzed, I also have bipolar and a number of other things going on like, UCTD, fibromylagia, hyperthyroidism, Sjogrens Syndrone which is causing problems with my brain. Well anyway I'm just coming out of a 2 month depression. I was in the hospital for two weeks and really had a good experience. I've spent a lot of time in the hospital and only had one bad time and it was my fault. Don't ever walk out of a Psch. ward on a military base. You get arrested and transfered to a new hospital with tighter security. I had to stay for 3 months. I think that one thing that we have to do is to learn is to take one day at a time. I make myself get out of the house every day. I go to the library, mall or something just to say I got out. When I was in the hospital I started journeling which is what you just did here by writing your story. Think about helping someone new with bipolar get going. Quit thinking of the past get in to the present. You can't change the past try to move forward. Volunteer with the Mental Health it will give you something positive to do. Bipolar4444
