looking for psychiatrist with sliding scale-los angeles

does anyone know a psychiatrist that works on a sliding scale in the los angeles area (west side)?i haven't had much luck in my search. my psych back east says i have to find a local person to take over the prescribing of my medications. my income is usually steady but not much.
i'm presently receiving free medicine from two different companies which helps immensly !
if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.
