I am just now seeing this advertised and am wondering how it works. Nothing seems to work for me and am at another desperate low in my life. I heard it is another name for effexor,which didn't work for me. Has anyone tried both and noticed a difference between the two?

Heya,

A psychiatrist I had told me that Pristiq was nearly identical to Effexor XR, except that it has a different coating on the outside of the tablet, so it's absorbed in such a way that you don't get many of the horrible side effects that you get from Effexor. But essentially they are quite similar. I don't trust psychiatrists or doctors so this information could be totally wrong.
