Can my psychotherapist help me if i feel suicidal? I mean i told her that i don't want my life anymore and i wish i could die and she told me that she will send me to a psychiatrist and when i told her that i don't want to she told me that i have to promise her that i won't kill myself, so i did. My question is, is she able to help me or do i have to go to a psychiatrist?I won't kill myself because i made that promise.

Please i need help, im desperate and i don't know what to do.
