chronic depression

Dear Sir,
I am just two months away from one year of my depression and becoming chronic. Please tell me if it becomes chronic, does that mean that I can never get well now?

Never say never. Obviously, the longer the depression, the more chronic. After 10 months there is still a good chance of recovery.

Heya,

Due to the nature of antidepressants, 1 year of being depressed isn't actually a long time. I mean, each one you try you have to be on for a good 3 months to see if it works. Then you change to another. By the time you find the one it may be 1 year or more.

I classify myself as chronic because I've had it for 12 years and nothing has helped in the slightest. If it only took 1 or 2 years, I would be one happy chappy :)

You aren't in the chronic stage yet.
