re: concernI am very sorry to hear of your loss. It is understandable that anyone in your situation would be vulnerable to symptoms of depression as well as post traumatic stress.
ECT is the most effective treatment of depression. To the extent that you have S/S of depression, it may well help. It is usually done after medications have not worked well enough or in a severe situation.
It is hard to predict efficacy in the situation that you are in, but the treatment would fall within the parameters of standard practice for severe depression which has not been helped by therapy or medications.
