I am undergoing depression. Yesterday when I woke up I clearly remembered my dream, in which I laughed heartily at some joke which I cannot recall. Has this any significance whatsoever for my ongoing depression

Good question. No one knows, but there are shrinks who would say that it was a very good sign.
