help

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu May 02, 2002 1:55 pm

I'm 28 yrs old, and seriously depressed.
I know i need prof. help, but alas my job does not carry health ins., and my finances do not allow me to pay for one out of pocket. Any and all info. about help that i might look into would be greatly appreciated. This is one of my last hopes to finding a solution. I've tried to deal on my own, but now my job, relationship, and life are being affected....I feel as if i'm standing on my last leg. Again, any information would be helpful.

There are a variety of options but they vary by area. 1) If you can see a doctor, most of the drug companies have programs for people who cannot afford medication. 2) There may also be some clinics in your area that accept a sliding fee scale. You could call your local Community Mental Health Center and see if that is the case. 3)Many hospitals (such as ours) have a Crises Service in the ER which has knowlege of resources available in the area.
