dear sir,
I was put on cipram initially but on the fourth day I began to pace myself and got really fidgity. i had to stop medication. Then on prothiadin similar thing happened. I have stopped that too and am now scared of taking any medication. Please help.

Not all antidepressants have the same effects. I am not familiar with prothiadin and Cipram is called Celexa here. The SSRI medications can sometimes cause this restlessness. Other antidepressants such as the tricyclics or nefazadone are not associated with this. You could try an agent from a different chemical class that is not associated with restlessness. Finally, I don't mean to slight the usefulness of talking therapy. It depends on the nature of the presenting problem.
