Why can’t their be special centers to treat depression where anyone undergoing depression can be taken off and given a bit of a rest and congenial atmosphere to get over his episode?

In any event, it is unclear whether such treatment would work. People who are depressed report not improving much on a vacation. Inpatient hospitalization does allow for one to be taken care of. In today's reimbursement/insurance environment, there had better be more active treatment than that to justify admission.
