Depression

dear doctor,
when it is said that 2/3rds of the depressed patients recover from depression are these the ones that are receiving medication or those which do not receive any treatment or is this said for both these groups.

The best answer is both groups, but treated groups will respond more quickly. CBT is a non medication based treatment (cognitive behavioral therapy).
