Nothing to joke about...

Post a new topicby smile4me on Fri Dec 14, 2007 6:20 pm

After I saw a girl on my floor in college get admitted to the hospital for anorexia, I started taking eating disorders way more seriously. It was one of the scariest nights of my life, and I'll never forget it. It was the first time I've ever had someone I know deal with an eating disorder, and so it touched me a little more.

One show I think it extremely inspiring is Intervention on A&E. It deals with everything from drug addiction to eating disorders, and everything in between. They use a highly qualified team of specialists to help people get on the road to recovery. I work with A&E and I think this show is really important and can touch a lot of people.

It airs every Monday night at 9pm/8c. You can see more information about the show at http://www.aetv.com/intervention.

Have any of you seen this show? How has it affected you?
