I heard about occd a few years back and it finally occured to me that its me. I always wondered what was wrong with me and why I was different. when I was a kid my grandmother was always yelling at me for blowing on my fingers and squatting down every few steps when I was walking. I touched every thing in a store as I walked past it. If I couldn’t , I felt like I was going to go nuts. I blinked all the time, jerked my neck made throat noises and turned the water and lights on and off...Read the full article

hi i will probably be 19 years old when you read this(tomorrow's my birthday). i've had OCD for as long as i can remember, and have never consulted anyone, only told two very close friends. I haven't tried any medication either, but usually my condition gets bad and makes me really depressed for a while and then i pick up the pieces again. your symptoms sound similar to mine(some of them) and i'm quite sure your case is OCD though i dont really know the other syndrome you mentioned.
still, you should consult somebody as your case sounds more severe than mine(in my case too it has developed over the years, things are a little hard). but perhaps medication isn't the only way.i've heard of behavior therapy which makes you stop obssessing and acting accordingly. it will take time and a LOT of will power, no doubt, but seemingly it is worth it. and i know its very difficult for us, but there are times when you have to say to yourself "no!i will not do something stupid and unnecessary. i will not let OCD defeat myself". saying it to yourself should help and cut down on your compulsive behavior. all the best!
