Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

I read recently where nail biting can be a sympton of OCD. My daughter had a habit of chewing her hair when she was younger. A co-worker shared with me she is OCD (feels it under control as she has gotten older) and she had this habits...anyone out there heard of this?
