Need strategy to reduce intrusive thoughtsHello,
About 6 months ago I had a high-pressure break with an employer and shortly thereafter found my head spinning with heretofore unencountered intrusive thoughts of a highly anti-social nature. I have taken medication to try to reduce their prevalance, with spare success. The stressors that led to that outbreack are long gone and yet I still struggle with intrusive thoughts. What strategies work well to keep my mind focused on positive topics as my living/working situation eases its pressure? What is the prognosis? I am 40 and not had experienced such a dysfuction.
