i diagnosed anxiety disorder.. ocd.. my mom had exactly same condition years ago.. been 3 years since my first encounter ..all through my life..ive had ocd to some extent..from time i 16..i had to get dressed in a particular order.. follow certain routines..all has passed..im over part of it..im 23.. im left bad thoughts.. images from ocd . some anxiety problems.. basic fears of death losing control...i wanted to ask ..if ocd . can ever lose control.. hurt someone against r own will..i dont like thoughts..y upset me..depress me..i feel guilt.. shame from m..im kind..loving..have many friends.. used to be a very happy person..im always scd i will lose my control..i just want some more reasurance i always have control over myself.. my actions,... any words would be greatly apreciated.

It is very, very unusual for someone with OCD to actually hurt someone. The fears are real; the disability is real, but actual harm is almost never present. So try not to hide from life. I would pursue medications such as SSRI's including Anafranil as well as atypical agents such as Seroquel to try and take the edge off. It helps to have supportive or cognitive-behavioral therapy.
