Please explain what Psychosis is, when it is seen, what the general prognosis is and the most successful drug therapy found....

Psychosis is the loss of the ability to separate fact from fantasy. It manifests itself by hallucinations and delusions. There may be disorders of thought associated with it. There are many causes from delerium to organic factors to schizphrenia to other conditions. The treatment is either treatment of the underlying condition or antipsychotic medication.
