Call Centers Produce Stress

Post a new topicby RichardBlank on Thu Dec 06, 2007 2:38 am

I wanted to introduce myself to this community. I

As a CEO, I like to take a step back and study my employees. There are some with the most potential, but something is always holding back from greatness. Stress is the demon. People handle it in different ways. I, myself, prefer meditation or working out in a gym while others choose to lose themselves self medication, introversion or just to remain sad.

We all have been there. I try to encourage them to stand up and find the strength to move on.

I look forward to sharing ideas with other posters.

I agree with your idea. I've been working in a call center for almost 2 years now. I have a mild seizure disorder that attacks me especially when I'm overly stressed from work. I spent my day offs to gym or go swimming. It helps increased my energy level while at work rather than spent sleeping all day after working. However, I'm still not confident with this illness, it may attacked me sometimes even without stress. I just make sure medications should always in my pocket or else....

Thank you for your reply.I am sorry to hear about your stress at work.Nothing is ever worth your health. Even if the deal is for $10,000 or $100,000, don't let it possibly kill you.

I work out as well, try to relax and keep focused. I smile when I can, and try to remain positive.

Call centers can be an exciting place as well. Magic can happen. If you concentrate on improving your skills and motivating others, your time will be more productive and less uncomfortable.

Best of luck.

Anybody that has a habit of sleeping at night from childhood. But, suddenly when the employer ask to work at nights, can produce stress in their lifestyle. But on the other side it has given employment to so many persons. Just with the help of good communication they have offered them highly paid jobs.

deepakk has brought up a very good point.

Many do not have an option when it comes to a high paying job. Some have to work weekends, late nights or even months without a day off. We all have been there and done that.

The best advice that I could give is to take each day as it comes. If your schedule changes, make the necessary adjustments to continue working out, spending time with family or just finding the time to enjoy life.
