little toe

Post a new topicby cbmarzullo on Fri Oct 05, 2007 12:14 am

My question is about the lttle toe on my right foot. For all these years I had been told I had a hammer toe but after looking on the internet I"m sure I dont. My toe overlaps the one next to it and kind of lays on top of it. The strange thing is that it has no joint, as if it was fused together. Is there a name for this condition? I had surgury a few years ago on the tendon to lengthen it but it did nothing. What bothers me is that the podiatrist that performed did not notice that the toe had no joint,or chose not to tell me. Oddly enough, after 40 years,I finally figured out It had no joint. Just curious now what the diagnosis might be. I am a 47 year old male, ingood health.
