hi Janice!Hi JANICE,
I was wondering if you have Major depression or Bipolar illness- formally known as Manic Depressive. The reason why I am asking you this very personal question is to find out, if , in fact, the Vagus Nerve Stimulator would be effective for me illness (bipolar disorder)? . Unfortunately, the procedure I that is extremely effective for all types of depressions is ECT or electric convulsive therapy. About 80 to 90% of patients who undergo this treatment are highly successful in treating patients who have found no from their medication. At least, after reading several studies on this type of treatment on this treatment many people find it quite helpful with few side effects. Naturally, I disagree with his conclusion not to perform this procedure. So, I am wondering, it would be effective for my illness. Thank You, Vinn Y.
